Office Financial Policy

If we only provide Endodontic Evaluation (Limited Evaluation, Consultation):
      This consists of an examination, x-rays, and testing, discussing the likelihood of maintaining the tooth, and the treatment options available to you.  Payment is due at the time of service.  

If we provide Treatment:
     Those without dental insurance:  Payment is due at the time of service.  Unless prior payment arrangements have been made.  Occasionally a root canal will require 2 appointments, in that case, 50% of the treatment cost is due at the 1st appointment and the remainder is due at the completion appointment.
   Those with dental insurance:  Please know that because there are many different insurance companies and even more benefit plans available, it is advisable that the patient contact their own insurance company and get the coverage benefits for root canal therapy.  We will estimate the portion your insurance is going to pay.  Since this varies for everyone, usually 50 - 75% of the cost of the procedure is required at the time of service.  We will bill the insurance for you.  After 90 days if there is no response from the insurance, the balance will become the patient's responsibility.   
Please keep in mind however, insurance companies routinely indicate that coverage verification does not guarantee payment.
If your insurance pays more than the estimated amount, a refund check from this office will be mailed within 1 month from the date payment is received in this office.  We usually batch them at the end of the month.
If your insurance pays less than the estimated amount, the balance is the patient's responsibility, and a statement will be sent from our office.
